Type fountain pen with vacuum filling system
Product Name Crest. This is the second version, with a Triumph nib and a pointy cap. This cap has been modified and a rounded dome has been installed at the very peak of the cap, possibly to repair a dent or hole.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, USA, circa 1942 (the threads that engage the cap are at a mid-point of the section)
Length 5-1/4"
Filling System Vac-filler. The filling system has been restored by us and is working extremely well.
Color Golden brown striated body and gold filled cap, gold filled trim. White dot at apex of barrel.
Nib MEDIUM. Two tone 14k Triumph nib.
Condition Excellent condition. The piston cap has some shallow tooth marks. The cap has some shallow dents, and scattered scratching. There is some light brassing on the clip. The top of the cap is unusual - it has a gold topper, almost like a hat, and there is a tiny ding. Good visibility through barrel, which also has great color. No cracks or chips.
