Filling System The fountain pen takes a converter, or works with Sheaffer style cartridges. There is a squeeze converter installed in the fountain pen. The ballpoint has a standard working Sheaffer refill installed.
Color Sterling in a crosshatch diamond pattern, with gold plated trim. (The shape of the diamonds changed a bit over time .... the early pens had diamond shapes that were more square, while these later pens had more elongated diamond shapes.) White dots on the top of the clips.
Nib Medium 14k diamond-inlay nib. It is unmarked but seems like a medium to us.
Condition Excellent condition, in Sheaffer box. This is a beautiful, classic set. The fountain pen has scratches and tarnish marks toward the end of the barrel and on the end piece of the barrel. The cap band has some nicks marks on either edge. The cap has a few tiny marks and scratches. The clip has plating wear along the lower edge. The white dot has a tad of darkening along the edge. The ballpoint pen has some microscratching and tiny marks on the cap and barrel. The cap band looks great. The clip has plating wear along the lower edge. The white dot has a few dot-sized marks on the upper edge. The top of the cap has small dents. The imprints on both pieces are clear.
