Product Name Snorkel Special. This a model very much like the Admiral, except for having an open palladium silver nib as opposed to a 14k open nib.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, made in USA -- 1955-9.
Length 5-5/8 inches.
Filling System Snorkel filler. We've fully restored it with a new sac, point gasket, and O-ring, and it's working very well. We'll send instructions on how to use the snorkel filling system.
Color Burgundy body and cap with gold plated trim and a 1/4 inch wide cap band. Original nib size sticker on section.
Nib MEDIUM Sheaffer's M6 Palladium Silver nib. It's smooth and somewhat firm.
Condition Excellent + condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a beautiful, shiny pen in a classic design and in a great color. The barrel has light long scratches (probably caused by a pen loop or pen binder) with a tiny cluster of marks on the blind cap. The cap has mainly light scratching but there is a cluster of long vertical scratches just above the cap band. The cap band and clip have microscratching. The section has the original nib size sticker. The imprints are clear.
