Product Description
Type Vintage fountain pen in good working condition
Product Name Unknown
Manufacturer and Year Univer Pen Company, a Sheaffer sub-brand. This model is probably from the 1930s.
Length 4-3/8"
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working perfectly.
Color Black and pearl with gold plated trim. The pearl color has faded to a sort of amber, or even caramel in some places.
Nib Medium. Univer #2 nib. We are confident it is gold, and not gold plated, though it's not marked.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a petite prettily patterned classic pen. The color is inconsistent, with considerable ambering on the barrel and some on the cap. The cap and barrel have moderate wear. The barrel has marks caused by the cap lip. The lever looks nice with a little line of pitting along the upper edge. The cap band has light scratching and plating wear on the edges. The clip has some scratching and one small nick in the plating. The imprint on the clip is clear. The imprint on the barrel has some fading but it is readable.
