Product Description
Type Touchdown desk fountain pen and base. The chain connecting the pen to the base suggests it was used in a public setting such as a bank or clerks office.
Product Name "Dip Tip" is the filling system style. It's virtually the same as a standard Touchdown, but because of the circular hole in the feed you didn't have to dip the pen in the ink and fully cover the nib/feed, you only had to get the hole submerged. See photo below of the underside of the nib and you'll see what we mean.
