Product Description
Type pen
Product Name Traveling Inkwell, also called the Traveling Ink Pot
Manufacturer and Year Visconti, Italy -- Relatively recent.
Length 5-1/2", this is the larger size.
Filling System Eyedropper filled. There are three chambers in the ink well. The bottom-most is transparent and meant to be the ink well portion that is used to fill your pens. The secondary chamber is set up to refill the lower portion as necessary. The uppermost chamber is mostly used to allow ink flow between the second and first chamber but also contains three ink pellets that can be rehydrated in the second chamber for more ink.
Color Black ink well with a transparent portion in the usable part of the ink well. Red leather sleeve.
Condition Excellent condition. The ink well does not look like it has ever been used. All three ink pellets are present in the end chamber, and there is no ink residue anywhere. The blotting cotton in the uppermost chamber has some marks that seem to be from the pellets jostling around, but nothing that indicates that it's been in contact with liquid. It has a few marks on it but that is probably from contact with the ink pellets. The leather sleeve has marks from traveling around, but no serious scarring. Ships with ink pellets, and leather sleeve.
