Type Vintage lever filling fountain pen with a flexible nib and a ring-top, restored and working well.
Product Name Unknown. This is one of the early celluloid models.
Manufacturer and Year Wahl, made in Chicago, U.S.A. -- 1920s.
Length 4-3/8 inches w/o ring-top hardware.
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Green marbled celluloid with black ends, two thin cap bands, and a thin band between each black end and the green color. There is a personalization on the barrel, "Blanche Power."
Nib FLEXIBLE FINE Wahl #2 Signature gold nib. Not very soft feeling, but you do get nice line variation with a modest amount of pressure -- extra fine to medium. See writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a nicely colored pen with quite good color consistency (often this color is faded or darkened). The cap and barrel have moderate scratching. The lever has light scratching but the no plating wear or pitting. The two cap bands have quite a lot of small scratch marks as well as some plating wear. The ring-top has scratching and a small amount of plating wear. The pen is personalized on the barrel: "Blanche Power". The imprints are clear.
