Product Description
Type Vintage fountain pen.
Product Name Clipper.
Manufacturer and Year WASP Pen Co., U.S.A. - a Sheaffer sub brand, circa 1936-40
Length 5"
Filling System Vacuum (piston) filler. Fully restored and working perfectly.
Color Green striated cap and barrel with pastel green that is pearlized, green, and black stripes and blaocks of various sizes. Black blind cap. Gold plated cap band, clip and end pieces. The cap band is 5/16" and has a pattern of five lines alternating with slightly wider blank spaces.
Nib Nib is marked WASP Writes In Two Ways #7. It is two-toned. This nib writes medium in the normal position, and you get a finer line if you turn it over and write with the top side (like a Parker 180).
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks. The only real flaw is that the cap top jewel has quite a bit of plating wear. This is a beautifully colored pen with pearlescence that is a nice size and that shines. The cap and barrel have light wear only. The wide cap band looks excellent and has just some microscratching. The clip has light scratching and light plating wear around the "V" patterns at the top. The barrel end piece has a few small scratches. The imprints are clear.
