Product Description
Type Vintage pen
Product Name Model 12 PSF ("Pocket Self-Filler" aka lever filler)
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, USA (body) and Canada (nib) -- Early 1900s, it uses the pre-1917 numbering system
Length 5-3/8"
Filling System Lever filler (We have replaced the bladder and it works very well.)
Color Black chased hard rubber with nickel plated trim.
Nib FLEXIBLE MEDIUM 14k nib. It is marked Waterman's Ideal Canada 2. The tines are a bit curved at the end but the nib still writes smoothly with very strong line variation. Almost full flex with lina variation from medium-fine to double broad. Please see the writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition. The exposed parts of the pen are fairly discolored though there are a few darker spots closer to the original black. The capped part of the barrel is still quite dark. The main barrel imprint is crisp. The imprint on the end of the barrel is visible, but there's also a lot of scratching (looks like someone was bored in class or a meeting!). There's also a rectangle scratched out on the barrel, near the end of the pen, which you can see in the photos.
