Product Description
Type Early eyedropper
Product Name Model 412 (imprint on the end of the barrel). The 412 was a model with a sterling silver overlay, but we believe the overlay on this pen was done in the modern era by Nathan Tardiff. It doesn't have his mark, but it does resemble other Waterman pens to which he applied a sterling silver exterior with a similar bark pattern.

Color Black hard rubber with sterling overlay in a unique design. There is a pattern of small crosses on sterling that is etched to look like wood. The clip is small has two rivets and has etched on it Clip-Cap. The section and end piece are black hard rubber.
Nib MEDIUM flexible Waterman's Ideal nib. Please see writing sample.
Condition Excellent + condition with no cracks, chips, dents, dings, or scratches. This is a heavy, unique pen with a thought-provoking design. The section has some scratching, especially on the area just above the barrel. The section's black hard rubber has faded near the top. The hard rubber end piece also has scratching and some faded patches where it touches the barrel. The sterling silver patterning is excellent all around. Because it is hammered and etched, it would be very difficult to see scratches. There don't appear to be any of significance. There are a few miniscule dots on the polished silver oval on the barrel, the kind you see when an engraving has been removed. The clip has some tarnish around the rivets. All imprints are clear.
