Type Vintage pen which works beautifully and has a flexible nib
Product Name Model 56 (marked on the end of the pen barrel)
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, USA -- circa 1920s. (Both barrel and nib are marked US)
Length 5-1/2" long
Filling System Lever-filler. The pen is a lever filler. The sac has been replaced and it's working well.
Color Red ripple hard rubber with gold plated trim. The feed is also red ripple hard rubber so it could be original.
Nib Fine Flexible 14K. The nib is marked "Waterman's Reg. US Pat. Off. 6". The tines are flexible and you should get line variation between fine and broad without too much pressure. See writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks, personalization or serious scratches. The cap band has brassing around the top edge. The ball of the clip and the top surface has a fair bit of brassing. The lever has some brassing and plating wear. The imprint is slightly worn, but still quite legible.
