Product Description
Type Cartridge fill fountain pen
Product Name CF 875. CF for "cartridge filler," and 875 due to its original sale price of $8.75.
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, USA, 1950s
Length 5-1/4"
Filling System The pen comes with a squeeze converter installed. Here's the challenge with Waterman CFs: the cartridges and converters are no longer made and are close to impossible to find. To use these pens, most modern day owners resort to refilling the cartridges with a syringe. If the converter stops working, you will be faced with that as an alternative, so we suggest you are careful with your ink selection because some inks will eat a hole in a rubber sac.
Color Teal blue and white (blue barrel, white section), with a shiny steel cap and gold plated trim.
Nib 14k nib is unmarked as to size, but we think it is medium.
Condition Excellent + condition with just minor handwear. No major scratches, dents, dings, or personalization. There are some small chips around the edge of the section, where it meets the feed, which can be seen in the pictures. This does not affect the performance of the pen. Imprints are clear. These pens are often seen with corrosion on the section overlay, but this one is clean and smooth. Trim looks good, no brassing. Imprints are crisp and clear.
