Product Description
Type fountain pen with bulb filling system
Product Name Gate City New Postal Reservoir Pen, designed by Richard Binder. This is a remake of the Postal Reservoir pen from the 1920s.
Manufacturer and Year Gate City, USA -- circa 2010. The pen was made by Bexley and is not currently manufactured.
Length 5-5/8" (this is the senior size)
Filling System Bulb filling system. You unscrew the end of the barrel to reveal the rubber squeeze bulb. You pump it a few times to fill the barrel, watching while the lever rises in the window. This pen holds a huge amount of ink, we read something like 3ml.
Color Black acrylic with an amber ink window. Gold plated trim.
Nib Extra Fine steel nib. It is two-tone #6 nib and has some masking wear. It looks like a JoWo nib but it could be a Bock.
Condition Excellent condition. There's consistent signs of usage like the masking wear on the nib and some staining on the tube in the barrel. The trim is good and the imprint is crisp. We replaced the rubber bulb, so you'll be good for years and years.
