Product Description
Type | fountain pen and ballpoint pen |
Product Name | This is model #921 and it was part of the Lady Sheaffer product line in the early 1970s. This design is commonly called "Flamme," though we don't know if that was Sheaffer's official name for it. (The stamp on the cardboard sleeve just says "L/S 921 Twosome".) ). It is a high end White Dot model. |
Manufacturer and Year | Sheaffer - early 1970s |
Length | The fountain pen is 5-1/8" capped; the ballpoint is just a hair shorter |
Filling System | The fountain pen is fitted with a Sheaffer squeeze convertor. It can be removed to use cartridges. The ballpoint pen takes standard Sheaffer refills (a working refill will be installed). |
Color | The bodies and caps are gold plated with an etched flame-like design. The clips are gold plated, and the fountain pen has a gold plated ring separating the section from the body. |
Nib | The nib is marked 14k and it is a FINE according to the the box. This semi-hooded nib style is called "Stylpoint" and it is the same nib they used on the Imperial I. These nibs are really underappreciated, because they are extremely smooth with a soft feel. |
