Product Description
Type Vintage lever filling fountain pen.
Product Name Unbreakable, model 40 (marked on the barrel).
Manufacturer and Year LeBoeuf, made in USA -- 1920s
Length 4-1/16" capped, not including the ring top hardware.
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color This is the Coral version that looks a lot like the orange-red that Parker duofolds are known for. It has gold plated trim and a threaded barrel end for better posting.
Nib SEMI-FLEXIBLE FINE 14k LeBoeuf nib is smooth and marked 14kt. The tines spread easily though not very far for a consistent semi-flexible writing experience.
Condition Excellent condition. The pen has low handwear and no scratches. The very end of the barrel has bite marks and the lever has some plating wear though it's very hard to see with the naked eye. The lever has minimal wear and the imprint is a bit hard to read. There are some bands of discoloration in the coral but it's not a significant change and looks like a purposeful design. No cracks or chips, dings or dents, or personalization. The pen is fully restored and working very well.
