Product Description
Type Button filling vintage fountain pen.
Product Name Challenger
Manufacturer and Year Parker, made in USA – 1939 (the barrel has the 9 date code, but the nib is marked 46, so it was made earlier in the fourth quarter of 1936).
Length 5-1/8"
Filling System Button filler. We've restored it with a brand new sac and it's working very well.
Color Grey marble finish with nickel plated trim and black ends.
Nib MEDIUM gold nib marked Parker Pen. It's smooth with nice tipping and just a little give to it
Condition Very nice condition. There is a small crack in the lip of the cap, though it stops at the cap band so we do not expect it to spread if you don't post the cap. The cap and barrel show some scratching, and there's some plating wear on the trim, including brassing on the upper edges of the clip and the ring around the black top piece. The clip is just a little bent on its upper edge (see photos) and there are some scratches and tool marks on the black end pieces. No personalization. It's fully restored and working well.
