Manufacturer and Year Paul E. Wirt, USA, 1900-15. (Only the nib is marked Wirt, but the rest of the pen resembles other Wirt models after they moved to the underfeed design.)

Filling System Eyedropper. This pen features a vented underfeed, which allows the nib to lack a breather hole.
Color Black hard rubber with a gold filled overlay.
Nib FULL FLEX with very good hairlines, almost a wet noodle. It flexes easily. Good tipping material. See writing sample below.
Condition The pen was very well take care of, but it saw a lot of use and consequently the gold filled overlay is very worn with a lot of brassing. There's a crack in the hard rubber under the cap overlay which extends to the lip of the cap, and you can see just a tiny bit of the crack peeking thru the overlay cut-out, otherwise the overlay almost completely covers the crack.
