Product Description
Type Vintage fountain pen with a unique filling system similar to the Touchdown system.
Product Name Craftsman Tip-Dip. Earlier Craftsman models looked completely different and had gold nibs, but this is a later pen and more of an entry level model.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, made in USA – circa 1953 to '63.
Length 5-3/16".
Filling System This is one of the unique "Tip-Dip" filling models, a filling system that is a slight variation on the Touchdown system. We'll include instructions on its use. It has been restored and is working well.
Color Black body with a steel or chrome cap and trim.
Nib BROAD steel open nib marked FB1 ("Flexible Broad"). The lettering on the nib is partially worn, though this should not affect how it writes. The ball of the nib looks perfect and like new. Excellent tipping material. Very nice flex.
Condition Excellent condition. There are micro-scratches and some hand wear on the barrel and cap. Imprint is crisp and clear. No dents, scratches, cracks, or personalization. Restored and writes well.
