Product Description
Type Vintage mechanical pencil in engraved sterling .... working well
Product Name They didn't seem to give models clear names during the very early years of production.
Manufacturer and Year Wahl Eversharp - circa 1917-24 (it has the early style clip, and the engraving spells Ever Sharp in two words, indicating this was very early in their manufacturing.)
Length 5-1/4"
Filling System Takes 1.1mm (aka "Thick") leads and extends lead in the traditional twist method. As is the case with most Eversharp pencils, it extends easily, but you have to push the lead back in if you want to retract it. We will include a small packet of lead.
Color Sterling finish in a beautiful floral design. Hand engraved.
Condition Excellent condition with just some very minor pitting around the tip. No dents, though there is a shallow impression in the cone. The pen has some nice patina, and looks really beautiful, with just minor scratching. Most of the scarcthes could be removed with machine polishing, but we like current state. It's working very well.
The barrel is engraved with the initials A.L., and there's an L engraved on the top piece as well.
