Product Description
Type Vintage lever fill fountain pen.
Product Name 3V
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, USA, late 1930s
Length Just barely less than 4-1/4"
Filling System Lever filler. We've replaced the sac and it's working perfectly.
Color Black. The trim is chrome plated. Single thin cap band.
Nib FINE 14k nib is marked "Watermans Ideal" and is quite flexible, what we call full flex, but short of a "wet noodle". The nib goes from fine to a nice broad. See writing sample. It's super smooth, quite nice to write with.
Condition Very nice condition with some scratching here and there, and some light wear on the plating (band and the very tip of the lever). Usually this nickel (?) plated trim is very worn, but it's a little nicer on this pen than we usually see. No cracks or chips. All of the imprints are nice and legible. It's looking quite nice and writing well.
