Product Description
Type Lever filling vintage fountain pen, restored and working well.
Product Name Taperite "Stateleigh."
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, made in U.S.A. -- circa 1941-'7.
Length 5-7/16 inches.
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Black barrel with a gold filled cap in the stars (actually one star) and stripes (lines) design.
Nib FINE gold semi-hooded "Taperite" nib is smooth with nice tipping material and a little more than semi-flexibility to it. It shows line variation from a fine to a small broad under light pressure, and the potential for a bit more.
Condition Excellent condition. No cracks or chips, dings or dents, personalization, or plating wear. There are some scratches on the clip, and lightly on the cap itself as well. There's also light scratching on the barrel. The imprint is very crips and clear. The pen has been fully restored and is working very well.
