Product Description
Type | Lever filler fountain pen in a very small size |
Product Name | Unknown. |
Manufacturer and Year | Welsharp, USA, 1930s or '40s. The only thing that is marked is the nib, so that's only a guess. |
Length | 3-5/8" |
Filling System | Lever filler. We've replaced the ink sac and tested the pen, and confirm that it is ready to write. |
Color | Slightly translucent cream colored body. It's a bit discolored, and looks more yellow in artificial light (including our photos). The trim looks like it was gold plated, but the plating has mostly worn off. |
Nib | Stainless gold plated Welsharp nib is between a fine and a medium, quite firm, and smooth. It is not tipped with any tipping material (see photos), it has been "punched" in order to create a smooth writing point. The plating is mostly worn away. |
Condition |
Excellent condition, despite having been very thinly plated originally. The barrel and cap are quite smooth, with just a few very small, subtle scratches. The trim is somewhat worn without much plating remaining on the lever, band, or clip. The pen is quite shiny and smooth, but the color has turned a little rose-colored in some spots (see photos). |
