Length 5-1/2"
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Mostly black hard rubber, with a disk of mottled red hard rubber at the top of the cap. Gold-filled trim.
Nib LEFT OBLIQUE Mabie Todd & Co. NY #2 nib is soft and has a nice oblique cut on it. See our writing sample in the photos below. There is some scratching on the top surface of the nib, which does not affect the pen's function.
Condition Excellent condition. There's handwear on the barrel, but no large scratches, or open cracks or chips. The barrel and cap have some fading, with the section appearing darker. The gold trim band near the end of the barrel has brassing along both edges, and the band closer to the nib has just one small spot of brassing on one edge. The face of the lever bar is brassed. The cap looks quite nice. The red mottled hard rubber piece at the top has strong coloring. The gold band at the top of the cap has brassing along the edges. The clip has brassing around the ball end as well as some touches near the top. The barrel imprint is worn but is still readable. It's fully restored and working well.
