Product Description
Type Fountain Pen
Product Name Unknown, this is a large flat top pen.
Manufacturer and Year Morrison Fountain Pen Company, New York -- 1940s, based off of the section and filling system this pen was made during WWII. Morrison was one of the third tier pen makers.
Length 5-1/8"
Filling System Syringe/post filler. Morrison called it a "Visual Vacuum Filler." We have replaced the cork piston seal and it is working well.
Color Solid dark blue, almost black material. The ends are flat but there is a slight curve to the top of the cap. There is a recessed area of the cap where a cap band could fit. Gold filled clip.
Nib FINE CURSIVE ITALIC 14k nib. There is still a lot of tipping material. Because the point is small the line variation isn't dramatic, but it is noticeable. See the writing sample below.
Condition Excellent + condition. The color is great and there are no real scratches. The barrel imprint is clear. There is an additional slight bulge through the area just beneath where the clip is attached to the cap. No personalization.
