Product Description
Type Vintage ringtop fountain pen
Product Name Parker Lady Thrift Time. Parker produced these pens during the depression - they're in the Duofold family, but they're not very well documented. We hardly ever see these pens!
Manufacturer and Year Parker USA - 1930s
Length 4-9/16" inches, not including ring hardware.
Filling System Button filler. Excellent restored filling system. We installed a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Moss green and bronze marbled body and cap with gold plated trim. One cap band ring.
Nib FINE/MEDIUM Parker nib, with what we'd call semi flexibility. Nice long tines, easily flexes and you'll get line variation from a medium-fine to double broad easily. See writing sample.
Condition Excellent condition. There is an area mid cap where the celluloid has contracted a bit and so you see a few lines, but they are not open cracks, which we've highlighted in the pictures below. It seems stable, and doesn't affect the pen's function, but you'll definitely want to take extra care with the cap if you put it in a pen case. The color is nice and even. The ringtop hardwear has looks great, though the metal flat top portion has some light brassing. There is microscratching and light handwear, but overall this second tier pen has held up very well. The imprint is faded, but mostly clear and readable. No cracks, chips, or personalization. Fully restored and working well.
