Type Lever filling vintage fountain pen, restored and working well.
Product Name Balance 5-30 (identified by the 5-30 nib).
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, made in USA - circa 1929-31 (those were the years they made pens with this long round ball humped clip).
Length 5-3/8".
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Jade green body and cap with gold plated trim.
Nib FINE Sheaffer's 5-30 gold nib is in nice condition. It's very smooth and fairly firm with nice tipping material.
Condition Excellent condition with near perfect color. No cracks or chips, dings or dents, or personalization. There are some small marks on the section and some lesser scratching on the cap and the end of the barrel. There are small spots of brassing on the upper edge and ball of the clip, and on the edges of the cap band. The color is lovely, very vibrant on the barrel and just very slightly faded on the cap. The pen is fully restored and working very well.
