Product Description
Type Like new pen and mechanical pencil set in a hard to find color.
Product Name Statesman Snorkel
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer USA 1952-5
Length Pen is 5-9/16" long, and pencil is 5"
Filling System Snorkel filling system ... restored here at PSP. We'll send instructions on how to use the filling system. The pencil takes .9mm leads.
Color Mandarin (which is a light orange) with gold filled trim.
Nib FINE. Palladium-Silver nib (it's not marked as PdAg, but all of the Snorkel Triumph nibs were either PdAg or 14k gold). It has a bit of a "Waverly" upturn. Pencil takes 0.9mm leads.
Condition Excellent + condition. Pen: Very little wear. Some microscratching, and a couple of marks in the blind cap. No significant scratches or cracks. Imprint looks great, very crisp and clear. We replaced the sac, O-ring and point gasket and thoroughly tested the pen. It is ready to write! Pencil: The pencil doesn't look like it's been used at all. The value of this set is largely in the color, but the condition is also a big contributor.
NOTE: in the pictures, we show a price tag of $7.25 on the pen's clip. It probably actually belongs to the pencil, because the pen's original price was $15.50, and the set sold for $22.75, making $7.25 the correct price for the pencil.
