Color Off-white pearly celluloid (?) with chunks of what appears to be material that alternates black, white, and clear stripes. Quite unusual, one we've never seen before. Gold-plated trim, including a Conway Stewart clip.
Nib Medium gold-plated steel nib. At first glance, it seems to have a Parker Vacumatic arrow nib, but it's also stamped "Special", so it's definitely not a Parker nib. Firm and smooth. There is a flake of plating wear along the nib slit, but the pen still writes nicely.
Condition Excellent condition for this little mystery pen. The only clue we have to its background is the Conway Stewart clip; everything else is unbranded. The cap and barrel have light scratching. The color is really nice, not darkened or yellowed. The striped inclusions are such an attractive touch! The clip looks quite nice. The cap jewel has some corrosion on one edge. The cap bands have brassing and plating wear. The section looks great, no scratching or tool marks. The barrel has light scratching. The lever has brassing and some plating wear on the sides. It's an attractive little mystery pen, sure to spark conversation in among your pen friends.
