Product Description
Type Mechanical pencil
Product Name Unknown
Manufacturer and Year Wahl Oxford (a Wahl-Eversharp sub-brand). This is an early model, probably from the 1930s. It's shaped like the long slender Equi-poise Wahls.
Length 5-3/16"
Filling System Takes 1.1mm (or "Thick") leads, which it extends via the traditional twist mechanism - you twist the tip of the pencil.
Color Green marbled color with copper-brown details. Chrome or nickel plated clip, with gold plated double cap band, band above the cone, and half-black, half-gold-plated cone. It seems they called this color "pheasant."
Condition Very nice condition. There are many tiny tooth marks on the top of the cap (see photos). There are some tiny scratches here and there on the barrel and cap, and the gold plated part of the cone has some plating wear and minor damage. The impring on the barrel is deep and crisp. There's some plating wear on the couble cap bands, and just two tiny spots of wear on the clip, around the ball (see photos). The eraser seems to be missing. It's still very smooth and beautiful. Working well.
