Manufacturer and Year A. A. Waterman & Co., USA -- 1903-1905, the twist filler came out in 1903 and AA Waterman left the company in 1905.
Length 5-7/8"
Filling System Twist filler. You twist the knob clockwise which twists the sac and then release the knob to take in ink.
Color Black chased hard rubber pen. It has a silver colored, probably nickel plated, clip.
Nib Fine flexible #4 A. A. Waterman 14k nib is smooth and has nice line variation. The barrel label identifies the nib as a "No. 50 Med." but we're considering the nib a fine based on writing sample. See the writing sample below.
Condition Superior condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a long, elegant, pen with intact chasing and original paper bands around the end of the barrel and the top of the cap. The color is a nice even black. The section has marks caused by the cap lip. The clip has plating wear. All imprints are clear.
