Product Name Crescent, Model 20P (the imprint reads "Trade Mark 20P" at the end of the barrel). The 2 indicates nib size, the 0 means no bands, and the P indicates a short pen.
Manufacturer and Year Conklin, made in USA -- 1920s.
Length 4-5/16".
Filling System Crescent filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Black chased hard rubber with gold filled clip and crescent.
Nib FLEXIBLE FINE Conklin #2 Toledo gold nib is very smooth with nice tipping. The tines spread easily for good line variation. The face of the tines are a little wrinkled but smooth on the underside for consistent writing. See our writing sample below.
Condition Superior condition. The chasing pattern looks great. The texture is well intact. The locking mechanism beneath the crescent moves easily. The barrel imprints show a little wear but are easily read. The color of the hard rubber is dark. The covered part when capped is a bit darker than the rest of the pen but it matches with the end of the chasing and doesn't look out of place. It's fully restored and working well.
