Product Description
Type Crescent filling vintage fountain pen in excellent working condition
Product Name Conklin Crescent 75. This was the largest of the Conklin Crescents.
Manufacturer and Year Conklin, Toledo Ohio, 1910s. (The screw on cap was introduced in 1909.)
Length 5-5/8 inches. The barrel is .506 inches in diameter, so it is quite fat.
Filling System Crescent filler. We've restored it and it works great. (We'll guarantee the filling system for a year.)
Color Black chased hard rubber with wavy lines and gold plated trim. No cap band. Short gold clip.
Nib Gold Conklin Toledo #7 nib. Early all caps imprint. Fine, with average flex. Line variation from fine to medium (see writing sample below). Good tipping material in evidence.
Condition Excellent + condition with no cracks. Good color with slightly worn chasing. There are some marks toward the end of the barrel (from posting, possibly a bite mark or two). Otherwise, the barrel has just some light signs of usage. The crescent is in excellent condition. The imprints on the barrel are slightly worn but readable. The cap looks perfect with no cracks. The clip is excellent and the imprint on it is clear.
