Product Name Crescent 2, thin version, gold filled overlay
Manufacturer and Year Conklin, made in USA -- early 1920s, it could be from earlier since it uses a very early threading design to attach the cap.
Length 4-1/8" and very slender
Filling System Crescent filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Gold filled overlay over black hard rubber. The overlay has a checkerboard, or filled in alternating squares, pattern.
Nib FLEXIBLE MEDIUM Conklin #2 Toledo gold nib is very smooth with nice tipping. It offers nice line variation with minimal pressure. See our writing sample below.
Condition Excellent + condition. No personalization and very lttle plating wear. The pattern looks great. The imprint is very clear. The locking mechanism beneath the crescent moves well. The crescent imprints are clear. The color of the hard rubber is firmly black. There is a small dent at the end of the barrel. It's fully restored and working well.
