Product Description
Type Crescent filling vintage oversized fountain pen, fully restored.
Product Name Endura (the imprint is clear on the barrel and nib). This is one of the early Enduras that retained the earlier Crescent filling system, and is uncommon especially in this size. They were made for a brief time (1924-5) and the Endura nib marks this as a 1925 model.
Manufacturer and Year Conklin, Toledo Ohio – the Endura line of pens began circa 1924.
Length Just over 5-5/8" (oversized).
Filling System Crescent filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Black hard rubber with gold trim, so shiny and smooth it looks like celluloid (the rub-and-smell test indicates it's hard rubber). The groove coloring is faint but seems to be orange-red.
Nib FINE Conklin Endura Nib. Firm, no line variation.
Condition Superior condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a large, impressive pen with a unique filling system and with great styling. The color is dark and shiny. The cap and barrel look fantastic. The barrel has marks caused by the cap lip. The gold crescent is in superb condition. The 3/16" cap band is bold and beautiful. The clip has brassing at the end. The orange-red accent lines (there are four of them) are somewhat faded but still visible. The imprint is clear.
