Product Description
Type Lever filling fountain pen.
Product Name Conway Stewart 84
Manufacturer and Year Conway Stewart, made in England -- circa 1950s
Length 4-3/4"
Filling System Lever filler. We replaced the bladder and it is working well.
Color Red Pearl and Gold Vine Marble design. It's an almost geometric red pattern outlined with fine golden lines. The trim is gold plated. It has a black cap jewel.
Nib Flexible fine 14k CS nib. The nib has a little bit of curve to it but writes smoothly. It has some give but probably doesn't offer the ability to flex.
Condition Excellent condition. There's some fine flecks of pitting on the trim. It's marginal but consistent on the clip, tassie, and lever. There is also plating wear on the end of the clip, particularly on the sides. The cap jewel looks good. There's some handwear on the pen. It's a beautiful pen, in one of Conway Stewart's nicest colors, working very well.
