Condition Excellent condition in box. There are some small blemishes to note, and we honestly can't tell if they are scratches or very fine hairline cracks. There are a few perfectly straight cracks or scratches in the black band between the two gold cap bands, and we do not see the lines extending above or below the double bands. The cap lip has a group of 3 small but deep scratches (about 1/16" long, see final photo below). There is a hairline crack or scratch in the cap derby that starts at the clip ring and goes nearly to the star logo. We were unable to capture these in our pictures, we certainly tried. Beyond those, there is light handwear on the cap and barrel. The ink viewing window is nearly clean, with just tiny stains visible along the edges. The trim has some polishing marks, but no brassing or wear. Ships in Montblanc Writers Edition book style box, but there is no booklet or outer printed sleeve.
