Type Vintage fountain pen and mechanical pencil set in working order, in original box.
Product Name Parker 51 Aerometric, demi size.
Manufacturer and Year Parker, made in USA -- 1951 (There is a 51 date code on the pen, though the "5" is mostly smoothed down and really only visible with magnification and just the right lighting. The 51 is very clear on the pencil; the cap has protected this imprint very well)
Length Pen is 5", and pencil is 4-3/4 long".
Filling System Aerometric squeeze filling system for the pen. The pencil takes 0.9mm leads, which extend and retract by pressing the top half of the pencil. There's an eraser underneath the cap.
Color Cocoa with stainless steel "Lustraloy" caps and arrow clips. Pearlescent cap jewels.
Nib Medium gold nib is in excellent condition with good tipping.
Condition Excellent + condition, in box, with some minor wear. The fountain pen has some capping marks on the hood, and faint posting marks at the end of the barrel. The rest of the pen's body looks great, no other scratches. The cap looks great, with some light scratching and small shiny marks. The clip has tiny touches of brassing near the arrow, but none along the edges. The jewel has some tiny dents. The pencil looks great, with light scratching. The tassie has some dots of pitting around the jewel. The jewel looks great, no discoloration or dents and scratces. The cocoa color looks perfect on both pieces. The box is also in great condition, though the platform is lifting up a bit.
