Nib Broad 18k two-toned gold nib. It's a little springy, and has the smoothness that you expect from a Visconti nib.
Condition Excellent + condition. Light handwear and scratching all over. There is a small chip in the screw at the end of the barrel, which is probably the result of someone trying to turn it and slipping. There is a little bit of brassing on the metal adjacent to the screw as well. No dents, dings or scratches.
This pen that commemorates the historic signing of the European Constitution has a lot of cool details. The cap band is engraved with Roman Numerals I-IV, representing the four parts of the constitution. There is also a window on the pen's barrel, and the original signing date and names of countries rotate around by twisting a screw head mechanism on the end of the barrel. We've seen marketing materials that show a 1-Euro coin in the slot to turn it, but we haven't been able to find one of those in the office to confirm. The color of the blue vegetal resin is meant to match the background color of the flag. The twelve stars of the EU flag are depicted on the sides of the clip, as well as on a band at the front of the section.
