Color Barrel is brown and grey marbled resin, and the cap is a red marbled resin, with a finial from the brown and grey resin. The cap band is sterling silver. According to the literature the clip, representing a walking stick, is also sterling with platinum plating, intentionally left with a dull finish.
Nib MEDIUM 18k nib, smooth and soft feeling.
Condition Excellent + condition. No cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a large, heavy, impressive pen in gorgeously marbled or "cracked ice" resin with a striking red cap, and beautiful sterling silver trim. The cap and barrel are very beautiful and shiny with an occasional tiny flaw in the material. The clip has some small dings, but they work nicely with the organic appearance of the clip. The clip ring, as well as the silver disc at the end of the barrel with has the edition number, look great. The imprints are crystal clear.
The surface of the nib is the main flaw in this pen. The nib masking is slightly polished away, and the yellow gold is visible in spots. The nib also has tool marks on the upper surface, which should not affect the pen's function.
