Nib FIRM MEDIUM #1551 steel nib is smooth. The 1551 is catalogued as Firm Medium Student nib. The feed looks very good.
Condition Excellent condition. The cap lip, and the area just under the capped part of the pen are a bit discolored. In the pictures, some of the marks resemble cracks, but are not. The pen has handwear and some light scratching. The pastel coloring hides most of the blemishes, but they are present. The imprint is clear. The jewels are perfect. The steel trim looks great. No cracks, dings, dents, personalization, or plating wear. We've restored the pen and it's working very well.
The Purse/Pastel pens and pencils were made with a more fragile plastic than other Esterbrook pens, and it's common to find cracks in the cap lips, but there are none here. Because of this, we suggest that you do not post this pen, or use extreme caution in doing so.
