Esterbrook J Double Jewel fountain pen from the circa 1950s. Firm Fine Gregg #1555 steel nib. Lever filler in black with chrome trim. Very nice condition, fully restored and working well.

Filling System  Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.

Color  Black with chrome trim

Nib  #1555 Firm Fine Gregg nib.  Officially approved for Gregg Shorthand.

Condition  Very nice condition. There is some plating wear around the ring at the top of the clip; otherwise the trim has some microscratching but no other sign of plating wear.  The section looks very good. There is significant handwear and microscratches on both the cap and barrel.  There is a bite mark and a more significant longer scratch toward the end of the barrel. No cracks or chips or personalization. The imprint is a little worn but legible. It's fully restored and working well.

Payment Policy: Paying via Credit Card or PayPal are the only methods allowed for addresses outside the United States. Customers from the United States also have the option of sending a check, money order or cashier's check. Payment method is selected during checkout.

Domestic US Shipping Policy: For the most part, shipping to US addresses is free and is made via first class mail.

International Shipping PolicyInternational shipping is based on weight, and we give you a choice (depending on country) of first class, first class registered, priority mail or express delivery (only Express Mail provides true tracking). Internatonal shipments valued at over $40 come with free insurance, unless that service is not available for your specific country. Most of our customers opt for the very reasonably priced first class mail method, which can take anywhere from one to four weeks. We are happy to discuss alternatives to the options currently offered during the checkout process, so please contact us if you'd like a quote.

Most countries charge customs fees on shipments from the United States, but this is not something we can estimate and there is no way to pay these fees in advance. It is the responsibility of the customer to anticipate these costs and pay them when they are assessed by your country or postal system.
