Color Navy blue cap and barrel, gold filled trim. Uncommon 3/16" wide cap band.
Nib MEDIUM manifold 14k nib, firm and smooth. Though the tines are somewhat long, the pen does not have any noticeable flex, it just has a little "give."
Condition Excellent condition. This is a really handsome pen, very elegant and classically styled. The gold derby has some tiny dents in the surface and a few dots of pitting, and there is some brassing along the area where the clip sits. There are some dots of plating wear around the double check logo on the clip, but the rest of the clip looks fantastic. The cap has light scratching and handwear. The cap band has some light scratches, but no dents, dings, or brassing. The section looks good. The barrel has some light marks from capping, and some more moderate marks from posting the cap. The cap posts very deeply, so those posting marks are about 1.5" from the barrel end. The lever bar has a tiny bit of plating wear along the edges. Overall, a really nice example of this classic midcentury pen.
