Type Modern cartridge/converter filling fountain pen, working well.
Product Name Chaplain's Tankard.
Manufacturer and Year Italix pen company, made in England, Germany and the Far East, for MrPen, UK -- this is a current model.
Length 5-1/2 inches capped. It's fairly thick and heavy.
Filling System Cartridge/converter - you can access the converter's piston knob by removing the blind cap at the end of the barrel. You can also use standard international cartridges. (Italix calls this a "button filler", but it's not our definition of that term is that there is not button to press at the end of the barrel which compresses a sac.)
Color Black with gold plated trim.
Nib ITALIC EXTRA-BROAD two-tone steel nib. We're not exactly sure what Italix calls this particular width, but it's certainly wider than 1.1mm. These Mr. Pen Italic cuts are very crisp and can feel a bit scratchy if you don't hit the sweet spot.
Condition Excellent condition. Light handwear, but no major scratches or chips. The trim looks mostly good, but there is a blemish on the cap band, and several spots of brassing on the clip. We've cleaned and tested it to confirm that it's working very well.
