Product Description
Type Fountain pen
Product Name Lady Sheaffer VI -- part of the Skripsert (clipless) line.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer - circa 1959
Length 5-7/16"
Filling System Takes standard Sheaffer cartridges. No converter is included. We tested it with all the Sheaffer converters types, including the rare button converters, and none fit. That's the weird thing about these Lady Sheaffers, some accept converters and some simply don't.
Color The body is periwinkle colored enamel over metal, with a gold basketweave that gives the pen a nice texture, making it easy to grip. The pattern was officially called "Paisley" and the color was periwinkle, per Sheaffer's 1959 Lady Sheaffer brochure.
Nib MEDIUM nib is a steel Triumph conical style. It's fairly firm and feels smooth, with nice tipping. (After taking the photo, we adjusted the nib and narrowed the gap between the tines.)
Condition Excellent condition. It's got a little wear on the lower end of the barrel, including a tiny chip in the enamel. There's some light wear in the enamel on the lip of the cap as well, and some on the end of the cap. Generally the pen looks great, with hardly a scratch on the section, no cracks or chips. Quite a beautiful piece.
