Product Description
Type Fountain pen
Product Name Lady Sheaffer VI -- part of the Skripsert (clipless) line.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer - circa 1959
Length Fountain pen: 5-3/8"; Mechanical Pencil: 5"
Filling System The fountain pen takes standard Sheaffer cartridges. We tested it with all the Sheaffer converters types, including the rare button converters, and none fit. That's the weird thing about these Lady Sheaffers, some accept converters and some simply don't. We will include an ink cartridge. The mechanical pencil takes 0.9mm leads. A pack of leads will be included.
Color The bodies are periwinkle colored enamel over metal, with a gold basketweave that gives a nice texture, making the pen and pencil easy to grip. The pattern was officially called "Paisley" and the color was periwinkle, per Sheaffer's 1959 Lady Sheaffer brochure.
Nib MEDIUM-FINE steel Triumph conical style. Somewhere between a medium and a fine.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks. This is a beautifully colored pen and pencil set with a unique design and that stands out in beauty. The fountain pen gold lattice is all nicely intact. There is light scratching on the periwinkle areas. Both ends have tiny dents on the tips and there is a bit of paint chipping and peeling. There is also a thin line of paint chipping along the cap lip. The mechanical pencil gold lattice has some dark spots all over. The periwinkle piece on top of the cap has a few small scratches. The cone has heavy microscratching and some plating wear. There is a tad of paint chipping along the edges of the cap lip. There are no imprints.
