Product Description
Type Vintage "Ladies" cartridge/converter filling fountain pen.
Product Name Lady Sheaffer XI -- part of the Skripsert line.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, made in USA -- circa later 1950s or early 1960s.
Length 5-3/8".
Filling System This pen takes standard Sheaffer cartridges, and does not accept a converter. We will include a Sheaffer cartridge with the pen.
Color The body is black enamel over metal, with the detail in gold. We've heard this "Tulle" pattern described as crushed chicken wire.
Nib EXTRA FINE two-tone Triumph steel nib is firm and fairly smooth with nice tipping material. This nib was once masked with gold, but the masking has almost entirely worn off (which has no effect on its writing). The masking on these nibs frequently flakes off.
Condition Excellent condition. No cracks or chips, dings, dents, or personalization. There are a few very tiny marks of wear, but the pen looks near perfect aside from the worn masking on the nib (mentioned above). We've fully cleaned and tested the pen to confirm that it's working well.
