Product Description
Type Fountain pen with piston filling system
Product Name Lamy 2000
Manufacturer and Year Lamy introduced this pen in 1966 and has made only insignificant changes to the design, apparently, because it looks just like the ones being sold today. We're not sure of the vintage of this model, but the clip is all one piece without the ball bearing so it is after the 1970s.
Length 5-1/2"
Filling System Piston filling system
Color Black Makrolon (polycarbonate plastic reinforced with fiberglas). The pen comes in a black leather Lamy sleeve.
Nib 14k gold which has been plated with platinum. Nib size not marked, but it seems to be a medium.
Condition Very nice condition. The barrel end piece (turning knob) has a line of little chip marks or flaws. The cap has some deep scratches near the top (see photos). The section has one horizontal capping line and there is a small chip on the nib feed. No cracks or dents. The Lamy imprint on the clip is clear. The clip is in great condition. The leather sleeve is perfect with very little wear.
