Type Ring top fountain pen
Product Name Swallow, it has a #2 nib. The Swallow is the lowest of the three Mabie Todd bird lines. In increasing quality, the pens are Swallow, Blackbird, and Swan.
Manufacturer and Year Mabie Todd & Co -- 1930s. The country of manufacture is not marked. The nib was made by J.T. Dobey, which had a business in Tulsa, Oklahoma called the Fountain Pen Hospital.
Length 4-5/16" long, excluding the ringtop hardware
Filling System Lever filler (new sac installed).
Color Black celluloid. It has a narrow gold filled cap band.
Nib FINE flexible nib marked "J. T. Dobey #2 14k Tulsa". It puts down a fine line, and has really nice flex from extra fine to broad. Please see the writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition. The color looks perfect. The barrel imprint is legible. There are tooth marks at the end of the barrel, and also on the cap. There is brassing on the lever, cap band, and ring top mechanism. The imprint is legible.
