Product Description
Type Lever filler fountain pen
Product Name Self-Filling Pen. This is one of the last models made by Swan in the USA.
Manufacturer and Year Mabie Todd & Co., USA -- 1930s.
Length 4-7/8"
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working well.
Color Since it's not numbered we can't be sure what pattern this is but it does not match the snakeskin or the lizardskin patterns. We think it is "black and silver candy stripe." It has three thin cap bands. There is a swan on the top of the cap and on the barrel as part of the main imprint.
Nib EXTRA-FINE "Swan" #2 14k nib. It's a good looking nib and feed that writes smoothly. This is a firm nib.
Condition Very Nice condition. The barrel has light to moderate scratching, and some shallow bite marks near the end of the barrel. There's some cap marks from posting and capping. The imprints are quite faded, and difficult to read because of the patterned material. The lever bar has light scratching. The cap has moderate scratching, and some tooth marks near the top. The clip and clip ring have plating wear and pitting. The cap bands have plating wear. Fully restored and working well.
