Color Black hard rubber. The hard rubber has a ringed or band pattern made by little hatch marks. The barrel has medium width gold filled cap bands and the cap has a nickel plated accommodation clip. The cap does not appear to have had a clip originally.
Nib 14k medium flexible "L" nib. The L means it should write as a broad unflexed and it does write like a medium-broad flexible nib. The feeds says, "Blackbird." See the writing sample below. The nib has a bend to it that doesn't affect writing, as we have straightened and adjusted the nib for smoothness and alignment.
Condition Excellent + Condition. The coloring is great and the ringed pattern is perceptible on the barrel and better on the cap. The imprint is crisp and the plating is in great condition. The accommodation clip has plating wear and the cap is freckled with shallow bite marks. No cracks or chips.
